Aston Legend Sanur rebrands

Following the completion of a renovation and extension project at the popular Aston Legend Sanur, which introduced 12 elegant suites to the resort’s inventory, on April 1 2001, Aston International has rebranded the boutique resort as the Kamuela Villas & Suites, Sanur.

Aston International’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mr. Norbert Vas, said, “The Kamuela brand aims to offer private pool villas reminiscent of 21st Century Bali that have personality, feature intriguing designs and are luxurious without being over the top. With the Aston name usually being associated with far larger, class leading mid market hotels and resorts, it made good sense to rename Aston Legend to Kamuela.”

Nusa Dua Beach Hotel refurbishment updates

The refurbishment on Nusa Dua Beach hotel has preceded the expected schedule.

The 2nd phase refurbishment on Agung Garden Wing covering 162 Deluxe, Premier club rooms and Palace club suites which was initially to be completed by end of July 2011, will be re-opened on early June 2011.

The 3rd phase of refurbishment will be postponed until second week of September 2011 to anticipate high season’s demand. The managements assure that the 3rd phase will be accomplished before Christmas.

Nusa Dua Beach Hotel has been started the consecutive refurbishment project since 2010 to enhance the resort’s service to its guests.

Ramada Hotel and Suites will open its door in 2012 just next to the Ramada Resort Benoa. It will consist of 219 one bedrooms suites and 22 two bedroom suites.

Ayana Resort and Spa Bali announces renovation of 30 hotel rooms

AYANA Resort and Spa Bali is pleased to announce additional renovation of 21 hotel rooms, following the renovation of 30 rooms completed recently, as we strive to continually enhance our facilities and maintain our position as the premier destination resort in Bali.

The renovation project will begin on 25 May 2011 and is scheduled for completion by 21 June 2011. There will be minimal, if any, disruption to our guests. All 21 rooms (from the Resort View, Jimbaran Bay View, and Deluxe Ocean View categories) are contained within an isolated wing of the resort, and located well away from public facilities and villas.

The entire wing will be closed during the renovation. Because this wing is isolated and does not provide a walkway to other areas of the resort, guests will not need to bypass it to access any other facilities, which are spread out across the 77 hectare property. Guests will be highly unlikely to notice any renovation project in progress.

The renovation will upgrade these 21 rooms to include:
·        sound-proof ceilings to insulate against noise from upstairs rooms;
·        master light switches beside beds to control all lighting with just one press of a button;
·        new bathrooms with rain showers, new mirrors, new bathtubs and adjustable mirror lighting;
·        new décor.

W Retreat & Spa Bali Opens It’s Doors

W Hotels Worldwide unveils W retreat & Spa Bali – Seminyak. The opening marks the third W Retreat to have launched in the past 12 months, and takes the Starwood brand a step closer to achieving its aim of having 50 global W Hotels open by the end of 2012. It also marks W Hotels’ first property in Indonesia. All 158 retreats and suites offer free wi-fi, BOSE entertainment systems and MP3-player docking stations, while the three-bedroom villa offers a private pool. F&B offering include the beach-fronting Woobar, the Fire restaurant and the Starfish Bloo Club. Other facilities include the brand’s signature WET Pool deck, Sweat fitness centre, and Away Spa, which includes the Blue Room – a pure oxygen- fiiled lounge.

New Prime Plaza’s Luxury Resort

Prime Plaza hotels & Resorts has announced that its new Amadea Resort & Villas will open in the Seminyak area of Bali in the second quarter of 2011. The new luxury property will offer 100 rooms and suites, including seven Pool Villas and two Rooftop Suites. Other facilities include two lap pools, a spa and restaurant. The Resort will be Prime Plaza’s seventh property in Indonesia and its fourth in Bali.

The Eysian resort in Bali launched a brand new website. Each page on theelysian.com opens with large images of the resort in an effort to inspire visitor. These are accompanied by increased information about the property and its facilities. The site will be updated regularly with seasonal promotions and special offers and Elysian has also added a booking system that shows availability and enables online confirmation.

Aston Signs Fifth Fave Hotel in Bali

Aston International has continued the expansion of its select-service Fave Hotel brand with the signing of a management agreement for the Fave Hotel in Legian- the fifth Fave Hotel in Bali. The new hotel will offer 150 rooms, a café-shop, several meeting rooms and a 30-metre outdoor swimming pool. Since launching in early 2009, Fave Hotel now has a portfolio of two properties - in Denpasar and Surabaya- with another 15 under development. The next opening is scheduled for April this year in Seminyak, Bali.

Kupu Kupu Jimbaran Bamboo Spa by Occitane, soft opened

The Kupu Kupu Jimbaran Bamboo Spa by Occitane has soft opened on April 3rd, 2011. It consists of 15 suites of different types such as Muaya Duplex Suite, Uluwatu Suite, Jimbaran Family Suite. The suites are located around the swimming pool. Once we have visited the resort we will update our blog accordingly. The Spa is operated by L'Occitane en Provencale.

Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana softly opened

Our team has conducted an inspection to the Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana, which "soft -opened" its 140 room of total 353 rooms. The rooms are divided into the following categories, Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, One Bedroom Suite and Two Bedroom Suite. In addition they are spacious and well designed. Major construction works have now seized and the Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana is now ready to receive the first guests. It is located on the Kuta beach road right on the corner before turning to Legian.
