Ed Linsley, New General Manager of Ayana Resort and Spa Bali

Ayana Resort and Spa Bali has announced the appointment of Ed Linsley as their new General Manager. Horst Shulze, founder and chief executive of Capella Hotel Group, personally led the selection process.

Mr. Linsley, a veteran industry leader with more than 22 years experience in hotels and resorts – 21 years of which were with Four Seasons Hotels – was previously Resort Manager of Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, before moving to Vietnam last year as General Manager of The Nam Hai Resort. He was drawn back to Bali by its people, and the opportunity to be part of what he considers a most visionary and inspiring hotel management company, Capella Hotel Group.

Alila Manggis Refurbishment Announcement

Alila Manggis in Candidasa will carry out room refurbishment project on 9 rooms. The project will commence on 10th November and is estimated to be completed on 10th December 2012. The project will be isolated from public view, fenced-in by elegant bamboo screens and will not disrupt the serenity of the resort.

Bali Mandira Renovation Update

Bali Mandira Beach Resort and Spa will commence new swimming pool renovation in one month time, on the 15th of November for a 6-months period. During the renovation, the infinity pool on top of the spa will still operate normally and there is a temporary pool area on the garden behind parasol restaurant.

During the 6-months period renovation, Bali Mandira will give complimentary half-board (lunch / dinner) buffet. The exception for this inclusive half board is special event dinners which are Christmas Eve dinner on the 24th of December, Christmas Brunch on the 25th December, and New Years Eve Gala dinner on the 31st December during 2012 period. The daily complimentary lunch buffet will be at Celagi main restaurant from 12.30 - 3.30 pm and daily complimentary dinner buffet will be also at our Celagi main restaurant from 6 - 10 pm.

Refurbishment at Intercontinental Bali Resort

Intercontinental Bali Resort has announced the refurbishment of Taman Gita Restaurant from 25th November to 10th December 2012. Taman Gita Restaurant will be closed during the renovation thus breakfast will be served at beautiful Jimbaran Garden Restaurant by the main pool and at Bella Cucina, facing the pool and beach. Taman Gita Restaurant will re open on 11th December 2012.
